As hopefully all of you know, the RNC was held last week. What you might not know is that the convention turned St. Paul into a police state. There were snipers on the rooftop (even church rooftops), cops in full riot gear, bicycle cops with gas masks, rubber bullets, percussion grenades, tear gas launchers, and bean bag guns. There might be some points I missed, but you get the picture. In spite of the police state we decided to show them how a society that is truly free should act with a march through the streets after going through the proper paperwork. These peaceful marches quickly turned into chaos when terrorists attacked the peaceful assembly with multiple weapons. They fired rubber bullets and had access to chemical weapons. These terrorists dressed in black and wore masks to prevent their identity from being found out, here are a few pictures of the terrorists I managed to snap.

Not all concealed their identity, here is a photo of one that had his face revealed

The terrorists pictured attacked anyone with a camera to make sure only they could document the events that transpired after their arrival. Anyone with photography equipment were targets, one photographer had his camera shot out of his hand by a tear gas launcher pointed directly at his camera. The war on terror wasn't specific enough, the Bush Administration should of dubbed this war, "The War on the Lack of Domestic Terrorists".

Wells Fargo is Mean

After years of not charging me a monthly fee they decide they should be able to without notifying me. I asked for a copy of the contract and they could not provide me with one. They would not waive the fee and could not offer me a free banking solution without me having 1k always in my account unless I "paid for everything". I am getting pretty fed up with Wells Fargo and am pretty sure I will be changing banks soon.

On a good note, Best Friends Forever played and they are amazing. I saw people I wish I could see every day and that was nice.

So ummm, the first girl I because terribly nervous around, I found her band's myspace. She didn't tell me the name or genre of it, all I had was her first name. I, uh... tried to find next time/place they played so I could see her again. She is cute, and I am creepy. Sometimes I wonder how it is possible to be so bad at the whole opposite sex thing.

So yeah, I met a girl at a concert a week or so ago. We exchanged numbers and stuff and then she wanted me to come to a show on Friday for a local hip hop artist at First Ave (kinda famous venue). Anyhow, I declined but said if she would like to ride bikes or something or see the show that was tonight I would be up for that.

Yesterday I called her to let her know I got in the Hip Hop video for the guy she went to go see and if she wanted to hang out with him she should come over. She was far away so declined but wanted to meet up at a bar and I agreed because I just wanted to talk to her more. So it was her and 3 of her friends and I was so nervous and weird and once was about to say something and held my tongue and she noticed and told me to say what I was thinking, but I didn't want her friends to hear so I leaned in close to her ear and told her she was adorable and she said thanks, and that it was nice of me to say that but nothing else and even short pauses make me uncomfortable when I am already that way so asked if she could change the topic to something totally unrelated and she did. She said she would see me at the concert tonight at the end of our night when we parted ways.

I biked over to the show tonight and forgot my wallet like over 5 miles into the ride and decided it would be ridiculous to turn around because I would miss most of the show so I figured I would see either someone from Best Friends Forever or her and ask to borrow some money but I saw neither. I called and left a message saying I forgot my wallet and asking if I could borrow 5 for the show and I would pay her back. Half hour went by so I called again and told her I would be biking around nearby if she wanted to hang out after the show but never got a call back. I am pretty sure I scared her off :-/

I sometimes wish I was like everyone else when it came to social interaction. On a plus note, the way back there was this gigantic hill (which I had to go up to get there) that I went down for about a half a mile and felt like I was going to fly.

4:30am:"Man, I am kinda hungry, I wonder if there is anything in the fridge. OMG YES! Peaches. Peaches come from a can, they were put there by a man in a factory... doooowntown. Sweet, now utensils...a fork perhaps? Oh yeah, I think I picked some up today, yep. Wendy's is amazing, they provided me with free utensils once again. I wonder if they can give me a couch?"

Just a short rant

I have decided that society disgusts me for the most part. More than half of my taxes, which I think equals about 1/5 of my total income, is paying for marines to throw puppies off cliffs and army personnel to throw grenades into a flock of sheep. I am sure there is worse thing going on, if this is just the stuff they they FILM AND LAUGH at. So we have demented people in that realm coupled with the TSA not giving you the option to be groped by their high school educated (yeah, I am not a college graduate either, just stick with me) employees or to have a picture of your naked body flashing on their screen. What great options, molested or... stand their while someone looks at a picture of your naked body, great. We also have drugs being stolen by police offers to resell on the street, which I am also paying for. All of those things listed, we all are paying for them actually. We don't even get any profits off the drug money.

Now we move to consumerism. Walmart decides to have someone arrested without any proof because they think the money order is fake (which it is not). The police offers jail the girl for two days before her being released after she finally convinces the judge to let her prove her innocence by showing the receipts for the money order. What happened to having to be proved guilty? People can get arrested apparently off of random accusations. Gas companies are holding funds of up to $100 dollars when you pay with debit card to insure they don't get ripped off, and they don't tell you this. Everything is just getting to be ridiculous.

So that is my rant.

Alright, so I went to see Indiana Jones that day it opened up (yesterday I think) and the lady at the taking my ticket says she has to search inside my bag. I was like, "haha, you're kidding right?" and she replied with no or something. So I give her the bag and say something like have fun and she said that I have to open it, and I replied with, "this is ridiculous!" and she said, "I don't think it is, they are the rules". Right then I wanted to ask where they are printed as well as state that because it is a rule doesn't make it any less ridiculous but I figured it wasn't worth it. Just thought I would share the back and forth I had. By the way, nothing except my small point and shoot camera was in the bag. Next time I am bringing candy and soda just to spite her and the company.

It has been a while since an update.

So, I figured I should make an update. I am getting another photo published, it is for some summer guide magazine, I don't really know all of the details.

I have my bike all planned out, just waiting on selling the car. I sent over the power of attorney forms to mom so she can handle the selling of the car. Airplane tickets are getting rediculous, over 450 bucks roundtrip for the end of June, if I fly in two weeks early they go down by 100 bucks though.

I used my stove for the first time, I made spaghetti, I was proud. I also rediscovered the celery and peanut butter snack, I recommend it. I watched all of Californication, great show. No new pictures, but AJJ is coming to MN next weekend and the weekend after an all day folk show. I gave it a new name, "Folk Beneath the Fluffy Clouds" which went over well. Things are blooming, outside my window is 62% pink, 30% green, and the rest a mixture between tree bark, red bricks, and a blue sky.

This weekend will bring photos I think.

I went to get some soup today, and then sat down with it looking out the window at the coffee shop. A guy came along on his cellphone, looked at my bike, then circled around it (it was locked up and he didn't have tools). He got on his knees almost to get a better look at the logo on the front and then I just started smiling a smile of satisfaction. He looked in and saw me smiling at pointed to me and is as to ask if it is mine, I nodded and he smiled and we didn't speak. It wasn't even my white bicycle.
