  • Nov. 11th, 2009 at 10:41 AM
I'm looking into moving some of my accounts to a local credit union - any recommendations? Bonus points for DT Minneapolis or NW Metro locations.

Cart systems?

  • Nov. 7th, 2009 at 8:00 AM
OK, before I begin a spate of research, I'd like to have somewhere to start.

I'm looking into cart systems I can integrate into a website. Not Paypal, but perhaps with Paypal-like ease? I have someone who would like me to build them a product site with one page where they can sell their items. They don't want to use Paypal, so I must begin a search for something else.

Any suggestions would be fantastic!

Dreamweaver 8 - Spacing problems

  • Nov. 7th, 2009 at 8:26 PM
I've two problems here:

1) When I hit 'enter' to type another line, I get paragraph spacing. How do I get line spacing instead? Or at least decrease the paragraph margins,

2) If I have two or more columns and I type in one column, the spacing of the text in the other columns go haywire. How do I make the text in all the columns align the same?

Here:

I'm a newbie so please help. Btw I would like to know how to adjust these by using the design view. I don't want to touch the codes unless I really have to. Help?

polaroid 600 film?

  • Nov. 6th, 2009 at 11:22 AM
Anyone know of a place that still sells Polaroid 600 film in the cities?
I've heard they still sell it at the Wal-Mart in Hudson, WI... but hoping to find something a bit closer than that.
Thanks y'all.

Problem with embeded music files

  • Nov. 5th, 2009 at 7:26 PM
My grandmother runs a web-based film magazine called Arabella & Co and often we post music files to go with films that we are featuring. This time around we are having an odd problem. Half the people testing the page are getting the music, the other half are either not getting anything, a broken link image or having the music playing all at once depending on the browser used.

I am not the actual webperson for this website, who apparently is not having the issues that we and the various testers are having.

The files being used are MP3 and what we want is for people to be able to play the files as they go through the page at their own speed.

This is what we have gotten in results:

Firefox - Half get music, other half nothing at all.
Internet Explorer - They get a Quick time image with ? but nothing plays
Chrome - all five embedded music files play at the same time upon loading the page.
AOL - nothing or quick time image with ?

We couldn't find someone to test it in Safari.

A few people I asked to test it never told me what browser they used, but it seemed to be the same. one or two would get the music, and two or three wouldn't get anything at all. One said she got the play image but when she clicks on it nothing happens.

This is the code we have been using, minus *:

*embed *src="images*/baritoncorner/*AhSweet Mystery Of Life.mp3*" width="50" height="32" controls="CONSOLE" autostart="false" *loop="FALSE"* */embed*

dreamweaver...

  • Nov. 5th, 2009 at 2:52 AM

Please help. I am going to scream.

I was working on my site earlier this week and now I can't change anything. Whenever I press upload onto site nothing changes. So I deleted everything. Pages that show up don't even exist on my server, or in my computer's folder. I went so far as to delete my entire website on dreamweaver. I clicked remove site and made another one and connected that with my domain and such. It still shows my old site. So now I have absolutely no idea how to edit it because the previous site was deleted.

Canfield's Diet Chocolate Fudge Soda

  • Nov. 4th, 2009 at 11:04 PM
Has anyone seen this in grocery stores in the area (or alternately, the Diet Cherry Chocolate Fudge Soda)? It used to be sold in the store that was where the new Seward Co-op is, but I haven't seen it elsewhere, and it's fairly expensive online.

help me move a bed with your truck?

  • Nov. 4th, 2009 at 9:40 PM
I bought a queen-sized mattress at Salvation Army but don't have a car (or one for borrowing that's big enough) to move it with, and someone from Craigslist said they'd help me deliver it to my house. Unfortunately, he cancelled after postponing a day. -sigh-

The bed has already been sitting there for the 3 days they allow, I'm hoping to catch them tomorrow to see if the mattress is still there, and if I can still have it without paying for it again.
Is there anyone that would be willing to move my mattress in their truck from the Salvation Army in uptown Minneapolis (900 4th Ave N) to my apartment (just off Lyndale and Franklin, about 1.5 miles away)? I'm obviously willing to pay you for your time and gas!

(edited for clarity)

Best for Cat Care?

  • Nov. 4th, 2009 at 4:28 PM
I'm looking for a veterinarian for my cat -- it's my first time shopping for one in Minneapolis. Does anybody have favorites they can mention?
Any suggestion for places to seek professional advice on polishing resumes and cover letters?
